Hi, welcome to our page!
We are Haroon and Sehrezade, a banker and high school teacher passionate about photography, food and travel.
Our story is one that is over the top in every way, shape or form. We met online (a story for another day), got engaged at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, planned and pulled off a pandemic wedding and are now living in Toronto under lockdown trying to navigate being newly married, which has been an interesting start to our marriage.
So far we have realized that while we both manage our own careers, we need a creative outlet to escape the day-to-day: enter thenewlywahids blog– our little corner of the internet where we aim to document and share our love for food, travel and living in Lockdown in the 6ix!
Through our blog, we hope to provide our readers with a polarizing perspective grounded in the fact that we are different- everything from our careers, cultures and backgrounds. By bringing our divergent thoughts, opinions and preferences together in our creative outlet, we aim to inspire a wider audience living in and out of the city on things to do and places to see.
